Health Begins in the Community
Since 1985, CCCKL has provided a range of health and community support programs and services designed to promote health for all ages and support independence and quality of life for local residents.
We have grown and developed into a well-established and comprehensive community health and support organization. Today, CCCKL offers a full range of community services delivered by a diverse team of professionals. More than 100 staff and 700 dedicated volunteers present a wide range of integrated services that touch on the factors that most impact health and well being.
Funding is provided by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (through the Central East Local Health Integration Network), the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes, fundraising, public donations and client fees for some programs.
The CCCKL community model is accessible and community-based. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do. We understand that many of them have challenges accessing community health car and services. That is why we take the time to work collaboratively with community members, partner agencies, hospitals and others to ensure that our programs and services respond to expressed needs and have a positive impact on the health of the communities we serve.
We have 4 key program areas that serve local residents of all ages: the Community Health Centre, Community Support Services, a Low-Income Dental Clinic, and Hospice Services. Click on the pages on the left to learn more about services in each program area.
