At Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes, we are always looking for new recruits to join our volunteer team.

You can help make our community better for local residents by assisting in the delivery of services that they require.

DID YOU KNOW ... In the past year, Community Care Volunteers helped provide:

  • 51,000 rides to local residents by volunteer drivers

  • 2,000 hours of Friendly Visiting, Home Help and Lifeline program assistance

  • 7,200 visits to our Adult Day programs

  • 9,700 meals served at Diners Clubs

  • 28,000 Meals on Wheels were delivered to clients

  • 9,300 units of participation in Wellness programs

VOLUNTEERING WITH COMMUNITY CARE IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3!

     1. Fill out the on-line application form

     2. Meet for an informal interview

     3. Have a free police check done

You determine how much time you are available to volunteer, what services interest you and which days you are available.

This Month's Volunteer Opportunity -

Brokered Helpers Needed!

Community Care recruits, screens and registers individuals or businesses who are brokered helpers. These brokered helpers are matched to clients who have need of some help around the home - with lawn and garden work, snow shovelling and other household maintenance.

If you enjoy working with others and are interested in finding out more about this and all volunteer opportunities with Community Care, please contact Volunteer Co-ordinator Wendy Bruckert (705-324-7323 ext 160).
