No garden? No problem! The Good Food Box program aims to improve access to affordable, fresh and healthy food for citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Each month, anyone can purchase a Good Food Box, which showcases the season’s finest fresh fruits and vegetables from as many local growers as possible.

A large box (or bag) bursting with flavour and nutrition costs just $20 and comes with healthy recipe ideas. Check out this month’s recipe here!

Participants of the Good Food Box program in Lindsay must pre-register by the second Tuesday of the month. Pre-payment is also required to 21 Angeline St. N in Lindsay between 9 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday. Place the exact cash in an envelope labelled with the name of the program (Good Food Box), the month you are ordering for, your first and last name, phone number and the total amount of cash enclosed.

Pick up is available in Lindsay on the third Tuesday of the month at 21 Angeline St. N between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. If you are unable to pick up your box on the day of pick up, please call us by 3 pm on the day of pick up. If we do not hear from you, we will donate your Good Food Box. We are unable to store the box for you and we are unable to transfer your payment once the order has been fulfilled. We will not be making reminder phone calls.

To register, or for more information, contact us at 705-324-7323 ext 181 or gfb@ccckl.ca.
