Care Gala Raises $30,600 for Dental Services
Officials from the Community Care Foundation have announced that the 6th annual Care Gala banquet raised $30,600 in support of the Community Dental Clinic operated by the Community Care Health & Care Network.
More than 120 people attended the June 1 event at Konstantine's Restaurant, Lindsay. Supporters responded generously to the opportunity to give to the Community Care Foundation's efforts to raise funds for the dental program. The Community Dental Clinic offers dental services to meet the needs of all individuals and families, including residents who do not carry private dental insurance or who are receiving social assistance. The clinic does not receive government funding and relies upon fundraising and support from the community in order to meet its budgetary needs.
Highlights of the evening included a keynote address by Dr. Ron Brierley of the McLaughlin Dental Centre, an exciting live auction conducted by Shaun Evans, and a generous response to the on-the-spot solicitation in support of the purchase of a dental amalgamator for the clinic.
